This man had the world's easiest job ...until now

New England Revolution goalkeeper Doug Warren hasn't seen a single minute of regular season action since August 27, 2005. That's because Warren is the backup to Matt Reis, the Cal Ripken of MLS. Matt Reis had played an MLS record 7,975 consecutive minutes dating back to 2005 until he went down in the 55th minute of Saturday's 4-0 loss to San Jose with a right abductor muscle strain. Warren will make his first MLS regular season start since 2005 when the Revs take on D.C. United tonight at Gillette Stadium.

...and you thought being Marty Brodeur's backup was an easy gig.
