Drop the puck!

The scent of elephant feces emanating from North Station can only mean one thing: it's hockey season!

The B's get things started tonight on the road against the Colorado Avalanche. Tonight's game marks the return of Patrice Bergeron, who was out most of last season due to a concussion. Tonight's game is also the Boston Bruins debut for off season signings Michael Ryder and Stephane Yelle, while rookie Blake Wheeler is set to make his NHL debut. Wheeler will likely see time as the left winger on the third line along side David Krejci and Chuck Kobasew. Fluto Shinzawa is reporting that Tim Thomas will likely get the start in goal.

You can catch the action tonight at 10 P.M. ET on Versus. You mean the the channel with the programming lineup that consists of bull fighting and bass fishing? Yes. The one that has to share an HD channel with The Golf Channel? That's the one. Let's just hope the B's game doesn't get bumped for highlights of the 1991 Ryder Cup.

Hopefully, B's fans will be hearing this a lot this year...

WOOOOOOOO!

Something about having our arena covered in elephant shit at the beginning of every season is a little too symbolic to be true.

Glad to see Timmy get the nod for tomorrow. I'm still worried about Fernandez, who doesn't seem to be on a "come back with a vengeance" trajectory at the moment.
