The Bruins have placed Phil Kessel on the IR with a case of mononucleosis. This comes at a very bad time for the B's, who are already shorthanded with injuries to several key players. Let's hope that this is like when Wayne Campbell thought he had mono but turned out to be "just really bored". Hopefully, Kessel can make a quick recovery and return to the lineup soon.

In other news concerning Bruins personnel, the B's have sent G Kevin Regan and D Matt Lashoff down to Providence and called up G Tuuka Rask and C Martin St. Pierre.
