Bruins place Lucic on LTIR; call up Sobotka and Marchand
The Bruins have place Milan Lucic (broken finger) on the long-term injured reserve after he injured his finger in the Bruins' 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars on Friday night. This move means that Lucic must miss a minimum of 10 games and 24 days before being eligible to return.
The Bruins also announced that they have called up forwards Vladimir Sobotka and Brad Marchand. Call-up Guillaume Lefebvre will also return to the big club after being lonaed back to Providence to appear in an AHL game against the Portland Pirates on Sunday.
Brad Marchand has 6 goals in 6 games for the P-Bruins this season (6-2-8).
Vladimir Sobotka has recorded 10 points in 6 games for Providence (4-6-10).
The injury to Lucic is obviously bad news for the Bruins, however Lucic's injury and the Kobasew trade will open up the door for some very deserving young players to get a chance to showcase their talents at the NHL level.

10 pints in 6 games...

But seriously, both these moves shocked me.
