Bruins head to Motown to skate with the Red Wings

The Bruins are in Detroit to take on the Red Wings tonight at Joe Louis Arena. The perennial powerhouse Detroit Red Wings have looked rather mediocre this season and are off to a 5-4-3 start. As if living in Detroit wasn't bad enough, now the Red Wings aren't even that good. Hey, at least they still have a thriving automobile industry, Tiger Stadium, an NFL caliber football team, abandoned skyscrapers and Insane Clown Posse.

Yep, SB Nation launched a visual upgrade today. I think everything still functions the same. What do you guys think of the new look?

Not too shabby, though I do fear change.

argh, a Versus game

I don’t get that through DirecTV anymore. Doh!

Much respect to the Red Wings. It’s a statement to their past 15 years of success that a .500 start 10 games in is considered disappointing to the fans. I could never stand watching them in the 90s because of Fedorov, but the 21st century Wings have been something special. Mike Illitch is a great owner too.

Don’t worry, not jumping sides here, just giving my props to another Original Six team that deserves a lot of credit for the past couple of decades.

I'm at work so I can't see the video...

…but I sure hope it’s the Zetterberg Slow Jam. The ladies are all-up-ons once they hear that.

Filppula out also

Broken wrist against Edmonton. 6-8 weeks. 3 Defenders have the flu, we’re riddled with injuries right now.

But yay for Original Six!
