Bruins look to turn things around vs. Buffalo

The Bruins will try to snap a 3-game skid (0-2-1) tonight when they host the Buffalo Sabres at TD Garden. Buffalo, led by the strong play of goaltender Ryan Milller, is off to an impressive 9-3-1. The Sabres will try to move on from a 5-2 loss to the Flyers last night. While Ryan Miller has held the fort for Buffalo so far this season, it appears that recent call up Jhonas Enroth will get the start in goal, while Tuukka Rask will get the start in net for the B's.

Notes:

- Former Rent-a-Bruin Steve Montador will face the Bruins for the first time since leaving Boston. This is also Daniel Paille's first game against his former team.

- Buffalo is 7-0-1 this season when scoring first.

- Buffalo has struggled on the power play on the road this season (2 for 20)

- The Bruins sent Mikko Lehtonen back down to Providence, which should mean that Byron Bitz is ready to go tonight.

- The Bruins are 0 for their last 20 on the power play, but have looked sharp on the PK, killing off 19 of their last 20 penalties.

- Money Line: -135 Boston, +115 Buffalo

- I have to make a confession: I actually like the BuffaSlug uniforms. There I said it.

- It's Tuukka Time!

- Game starts at 7:00. Open thread starts at 6:30.

Your opinions on taste are rendered invalid.

Tuukka won’t be that big of a help unless he can score for the Bruins. The problem hasn’t been goals against. You can’t win 0-0.

I don’t think that I ever said that Tim Thomas was the problem or Tuukka Rask was the answer to all the Bruins problems.

In the new NHL, you can win 0-0….well technically 1-0 but 0-0 in real hockey play.

To clarify on the BuffaSlug, I like the look of the unis. The logo is kind of weak, but the uniforms are sharp. I think they should have taken the Buffalo head from the black and red look and changed it to yellow and blue. My old college’s hockey team used to actually wear those old Buffalo head jerseys, but with a green, black, and white coloe scheme.

Oh yeah the uniforms themselves aren’t too terrible but they’d be better served bringing back the classic buffalo-and-sabres circle logo.

I’d mock you but seeing as how I’m the only Bruins fan in existence that not only likes the Bear Head jerseys, but thinks they should bring them back, it’s kinda throwing stones from a glass house.

They are both far worse than their predecessors. Then again there’s the so-bad-it’s-good Golden Seals sweaters, those are awesome.
