Savard to Stay
According to reports on The Fourth Period Savard and the Bruins have agreed on a 7-year deal in which Savard will be paid 4.2 Million per season over the course of the deal. It is believed the deal will include a no trade clause
This is pretty awesome I didn't believe Savard would take such a pay cut even for a 7 year deal. Paying a proven 80-90 point scorer 4.2 million in unheard of but really helps this team. Pretty excited about this can't even type clear sentences....I think this calls for some celebratory beers.....off to do some day drinking tell me how you feel about the deal

I also toast this signing....
I’ll make an exception today and crack open a Sam Adams at 2:00 to celebrate.
Great signing, excellent work and very happy Marc decided to stay.
incredible signing. case could be made that savvy could be a suitible captain in this league (something i never thought i would be able to say when he first came to boston). but he has matured exponentially in a proven franchise. savvy is one of the core players on this team, and its a great feeling to know that he will probably end his career with a spoked b on his chest. ill drink to that
