Could that kid look more pink?

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:22 PM EST reply actions

really good period by the B’s. great energy by the 4th line and these line changes look pretty good. Boys have a spark in their step tonight, and boychuck had a solid 1st period.

1st Period Observations

- Great Energy out of the 4th line
- B’s need to limit the Blackhawks chances
- Johnny Boychuk has looked good tonight
- Good things happen when you go to the net. Krejci followed his shot and it paid off for him.

Johnny B with a quick slapper. That is a dangerous weapon. Nice to have another threat from the blue line.

well in his contract year i think Ferrence just put himself in good terms with the Blackhawks for a contract next season

Talk about a heart attack.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:37 PM EST reply actions

Timmy is really turing his play around. good game so far by him

by Conor Mc on Dec 18, 2009 9:40 PM EST reply actions

He has made so big stops, but has also gotten bailed out a few times. Like that 1st rush of the game.

Jack looks intense even reading a promo.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:42 PM EST reply actions

I went to halloween party this yr as Jack. It was a big crowd pleaser.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

I went as a hockey player, go figure.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

Hopefully on the replay Timmy doesn’t look as awful as I think he did.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:45 PM EST reply actions

Although the D was garbage too, so whatever.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:46 PM EST up reply actions

Man Woz got schooled by that move.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 9:49 PM EST up reply actions

I thought McQuaid would get the call. Woz had a good camp though and I guess he has more of a veteran presence.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 9:51 PM EST up reply actions

Slam dunk. Love Paille tonight.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 10:00 PM EST reply actions

What a momentum shift if the PP lights the lamp.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 10:01 PM EST reply actions

cutie paille. get it?

by Conor Mc on Dec 18, 2009 10:01 PM EST reply actions

Nice look by Savard to wheel that one into the slot, impresses me once a night at least.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 10:02 PM EST reply actions

would have liked to see him one time that

by Conor Mc on Dec 18, 2009 10:03 PM EST up reply actions

what’s a 3nd period?

wa-waaaaa

60 minutes boys… 60 effing minutes.

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:11 PM EST up reply actions

make that 2nd period. I’m just used to them falling apart in the 3rd. They did it early tonight. …Must be the time difference.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 10:16 PM EST up reply actions

Ton of brain farts tonight. :/

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 10:14 PM EST reply actions

Tom Werner is such a nerd. I bet he can’t even skate. The Sox owners are the guys that got picked last in gym class so they bought their own team.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 10:18 PM EST reply actions

I would give my left nut to play a few games on that ice.

by Ebinsugewa on Dec 18, 2009 10:19 PM EST reply actions

I am going to crush beers in the 3rd period. If it’s through gritted teeth or smiling lips, that’s up to the bruins.

Also how terrorfied am I at the prospect of Recchi NOT being on this team next year? Can we please talk him out of retirement… PLEASE?!

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:20 PM EST reply actions

A Thornton fight?

watching the Hawks push around, good god do I miss Lucic and hey that’s the watch and win word, yay

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:26 PM EST reply actions

SHIT

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:35 PM EST reply actions

Cider season, there’s been a lot of juice.

I would love to have Jack Edwards in my living room during a playoff game he’s not calling or something.

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:40 PM EST reply actions

and he assisted on the first blackhawk goal of the night

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:43 PM EST up reply actions

The thing that is so impressive about Chicago is they get scoring form everyone.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 10:46 PM EST reply actions

How many times have the bruins had golden opportunities tonight only to lose it in their skates or mishandle the puck?

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:51 PM EST reply actions

by the way, is Jack reading this open thread?

Good things happen when you go to the net. Krejci followed his shot and it paid off for him.

by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Dec 18, 2009 10:55 PM EST reply actions

I would accept him being on this site if we cant get him on twitter.

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 10:57 PM EST up reply actions

Y’know, I turned off the game when it was 4-3, but decided to see if it was over and just caught the Krejci goal. Lesson learned.

by Arenacale on Dec 18, 2009 10:59 PM EST reply actions

nice to see its longer than the islanders ot game

by Conor Mc on Dec 18, 2009 11:01 PM EST reply actions

I don’t like the B’s chances against a team like Chicago in the shootout. Then again, I never really like the B’s chances in the shootout.

by Arenacale on Dec 18, 2009 11:08 PM EST reply actions

This is the kind of drama that makes me really not understand why the NHL isn’t more popular, marketing fail.

by ike6116 on Dec 18, 2009 11:08 PM EST reply actions

Tuukka looks so lonely back there.

by Arenacale on Dec 18, 2009 11:09 PM EST reply actions

he’s chillin in the cut.
