Hey does anyone know what time the pregame events and stuff are going to start at the Winter Classic. I'm sure they are going to have some sort of ceremony or something and I don't want to miss any of it ya know.
The trade I was thinking of is with Toronto. The B's need a top 6 forward who won't cost too much and can put the puck in the net. I was thinking Alexei Ponikarovski would be a nice fit, and I think he could be had for either 2nd and a prospect or 2 2nd's. He is an expiring contract so if it doesn't work out he's gone, but if it does work he could be resigned cheaper then say Kovalchuk (who a lot of my friends are dieing to get). Poni would round out the top 6 and make the top 9 incredibly balanced. I think the team would look something like:
(When Lucic and hopefully Stuart Return)
Lucic Savard Ryder
Poni Krejci Wheeler
Sturm Bergy Recchi
Thornton Begin Paille
Sobotka/Bitz
Chara Morris
Boychuk Wideman
Stuart Ference
Hunwick
Thomas
Rask
I would feel good about going into the playoffs with that team, just based on the solid balance of offense. all three lines have players who can put the puck in the net (Ryder,Poni, Wheeler, Sturm) and set up men (Savard, Krejci, Bergeron). The D has a solid mix of Defensive play and puck moveing ability on each pairing, and goaltending speaks for itself. So what do your guys think about this trade idea
