Bruins take on Thrashers in indoor hockey game
It's like déjà vu all over again. For the second start Wednesday night the Bruins will play host to the Atlanta Thrashers at TD Garden with the B's out-gunning Atlanta 6-4 last week. The Bruins dropped a 2-1 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night, bringing their 3-game winning streak to an end. Meanwhile, the Thrashers enter tonight's game looking to snap a 5-game losing streak (0-4-1 in their last five games).

Notes:
- The Bruins need to block out all the distractions of the NHL Winter Classic circus and focus on tonight's game.
- My guess is that Tuukka Rask will get the start tonight. Tim Thomas has played the last 4 games and will likely be the starter for the Winter Classic, so look for Tuukka to be in net tonight.
- Don Cherry will be a special guest for NESN's broadcast of the game. I'm hoping that he stops by Fenway earlier in the day for the Bruins-Flyers Alumni roundtable.
- Game starts at 7:00 and the Public Skate open thread will start at 6:30

Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Friday, Don Cherry will be unable to travel to Boston Wednesday as originally planned so that he can be available to CBC for Hockey Night in Canada.
