Bruins in Columbus to take on Blue Jackets
The Bruins will try to put Sunday's ugly 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers behind them and focus on beating the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. The Blue Jackets are coming off an impressive 8-2 win over Detroit on Saturday. Columbus looks poised to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
Just who are these Blue Jackets you speak of?

Notes:
- This is the first time the Bruins and Blue Jackets have played each other since December 15, 2007 (2-0 Bruins win in Columbus).
- Stephane Yelle was not at the morning skate this morning. Chances are he will not play.
- Steve Montador is expected to be available to play tonight after missing last game with flu-like symptoms.
- Over the last 5 games, the Bruins' PK has only killed off 61.1% of penalties.
- Columbus is ranked last in the NHL on the power play (12.8%)
- Clumbus' rookie goaltender Steve Mason will likely be in the running for both the Calder and the Vezina.
- Tim Thomas will get the start tonight.
- Game starts at 7:00, Public Skate (open thread) starts at 6:00.
- I usually link to the SB Nation blog for the opposing team, but SBN doesn't have a Blue Jackets blog yet. In fact, they are currently seeking a Columbus blogger. So, if you are reading this and you write a Blue Jackets blog, there might be a place for you here. Hell, if you know what a hockey puck looks like and can locate Columbus, OH on a map, you will probably get the gig.

Yelle
Good chance he won’t play considering he didn’t even make the road trip.

At the time I posted there were no reports that he didn’t make the trip, just that he was not at morning skate. He did in fact stay in Boston and will not play tonight.

Haha the last line had me in tears because I think I went back-and-forth between including and deleting BJ jokes in my whole preview. By the way in honor of you game video, why whenever a guy even goes to take off his shirt at the Garden does either the camera quickly pane away or switch views? Strange? Are “man-boobs” against Garden standards?

I was actually going to use that abstinence photoshop from Barry Melrose Rocks that you used in your game preview. I’m glad I stopped by your site before I posted it.
