I am kind of surprised that the Bruins didn’t call anyone up from Providence today.

They now have no one left that is healthy besides the guys that are in the lineup tonight.

I got an email from a French language radio station to answer some questions about the series. I did it because I am a huge media whore. Since my understanding of French is somewhat limited I will have no idea what kind of slanderous thing will be said about me on the air.

I have a question how can they change a game misconduct to a match penalty AFTER the game???

Price will start

thanks bud…….its just something that i had been thinking about since saturday…….and the more i thought about it the more it made sense…………i think maybe it was the same kind of situation as when Chiarelli asked that the league review the tape after game 1, maybe the Canadiens brass asked the league to look at the Lucic hit
Well, if it is a match penalty, the league has to look at the tape.

I did notice that. With this economy, NESN just couldn’t afford to fly the hair and makeup people up to Montreal.

damn! damn damn damn! gainey’s onto the fact that that “hot tip” came from a bruins fan.
in good news, however, they are starting pleks (ahahaha) and demoting metropolit to the 4th line….despite the fact that he’s been one of their best players in the series thus far.
oh montreal….will they ever learn how to properly structure a lineup? i sure hope not!
Bruins Lines
The B’s line will be the same as I reported earlier today. Bish has Bitz on the left wing, while Fluto has him on the right wing.

ev, while i will defend to the death your right to say it, i disagree with your analysis of Kessel and more specifically Savard as one way players……..i think Savard has gotten lightyears better on the defensive end of his game……and while not exactly a cadidate for a Selke trophy i dont think kessel is a liability
I agree that they have both improved in their own end this year.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 20, 2009 8:51 PM EDT up reply actions
….but
Those guys have 31 hits combined this season (6 for Kessel) and rank # 3 and 4 in giveaways on the Bruins.

while ranking that high in giveaways isnt exactly a good thing, i think that they are both more often then not pretty sound positionaly when playing in their defensive zone……..i know neither player is a crux of the PK ( although kessel did get alot of PK minutes down the stretch)……….basically i think it comes down to role on the team…with the amount of time Kessel and Savard have the puck over the course of the year in relation to the role they play in the offense i dont think that being #3 and 4 in giveaways is that big of a problem…..i dont think the Bruins look at either of those guys to be their defensive leaders, they definitely have the Bergerons and the Axelssons of the world who they would value higher when it comes to defense…….
by timmorrison23 on Apr 20, 2009 9:03 PM EDT up reply actions
True, I was stretching to find some sort of statistical proof but I failed.
I still think both players could improve in their own end of the rink.

Kobasew’s ENG was my favorite of the night. Yes, it was from two feet out, but he just wanted the puck more.
