The NHL re-seeds the teams after the first round, so the Bruins will play the lowest remaining seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins could play either the New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, or Philadelphia Flyers. Right now, the Rangers are looking like the most likely second round opponent as the #7 seeded Rangers have a 3-1 seres lead over the Washington Capitals.
'08-'09 B's record vs. possible 2nd round opponents:
New York Rangers: 2-1-1
Carolina Hurricanes: 4-0-0
Pittsburgh Penguins: 2-1-1
Philadelphia Flyers: 2-1-1
