I disagree with everything just wrote.

Yeah, I never understood people booing the Canadian national anthem when the Habs are in town …considering most the Bruins are from Canada.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 7:40 PM EDT up reply actions
I love the Canadian national anthem. Thornton is just coming back from injury, not sure the extent of it but if he isn’t ready to fight I don’t want to see him risk re-injury right before the playoffs.

I thought that Edwards said “Chara was a one time centerman” but he said Senator…..now that would be a goalies nightmare which him camped out at the top of the crease.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 8:09 PM EDT reply actions
Sometimes they do that on the powerplay, it’s pretty hilarious.

Yeah, I think they should do it more. It’s a different look and it utilizes something that no other team has.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions
His slapper from the point is pretty good, too.
And the acceleration that the legs of a 6’9" dude can generate. Didn’t help in this game, though.

Oh yeah, I would just like to see them put him in front of the net on the PP once in a while to create a different look. I wouldn’t want to take that shot from the point away all the time.

It looks like Milbury and K-Tapp went back to the regular studio….I kinda liked the full length shots of K-Tapp.

Did Chara ever wear #44 for the B’s?
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 8:20 PM EDT reply actions
He wore 3 for his previous 3 teams, I don’t know why he would’ve worn 44.

I didn’t think he ever did but they just showed a clip of the press conference when he signed and he held up a #44 jersey.
I bet there are still a few Chara #44 jerseys kicking around like when Savard played the first few weeks he was here with #71 and switched to #91 and then Wheeler this year.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 8:25 PM EDT up reply actions
Hannu Toivonen wore 33 in 06, maybe that’s why.

Sharks/Avs have the late game on Versus….not sure that game will mean much after this game though
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 8:58 PM EDT reply actions
Right, but if the B’s lose and the Sharks win it will be 5 pts with 2 games left. Not that the President’s Trophy really matters but it would be nice.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Apr 7, 2009 9:01 PM EDT up reply actions
We’d have 3 to go, they’d have 2. Not undoable, but no margin for error. Plus they have the head-to-head.
