Surgery for Kessel & Krejci
It looks like the Bruins two most prized RFAs will be going under the knife. Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe is reporting that David Krejci will have hip surgery next month, while Phil Kessel is scheduled to undergo surgery this Thursday to repair a torn rotator cuff and labrum.
The question now is "what does this mean for contract negotiations and their futures with the Boston Bruins?". Both players are scheduled to become restricted free agents on July 1st.

That's unfortunate.
Best of luck to both of them during surgery and their rehab.
Though, now I really have to wonder if either of them will be as attractive to other teams as they would have with a clean bill of health, at least to make a push at them while they are still under contract with us.
I hope they heal up well, but I also hope the organization now has a little more room to play with in the negotiation.
Granted, I do not want them to get screwed out of hard earned money, but I obviously could live with it if we can keep this core together (figuring they come back with no lingering issues).
Proof once again that hockey players
are made of something the rest of us lack.
A torn labrum would have the average person refusing to get out of bed to go to work.
