KPD on Winter Classic at Fenway: "It's a done deal"

Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe reported in this morning's Sunday Globe that he has received official word that the 2010 NHL Winter Classic will be held at Fenway Park on New Year's Day. The Bruins will play host to either the Philadelphia Flyers or Washington Capitals. The NHL will hold a press conference at Fenway Park to officially announce the event sometime in July.

Oh right, his outdoor game history. I forgot about that. I was going to say an overpriced backup is the last thing the B’s need.

I think I am going to enjoy this one from my living room or try to wrangle a press pass. Fenway is uncomfortable enough in the middle of July and that is going to be a tough ticket.
