Fluto Shinzawa is reporting that the Providence Bruins have signed forward Jamie Arniel to an amateur tryout contract. Arniel was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round of last year's NHL Entry Draft and participated in the Bruins' rookie camp last fall. The Kingston, ON native spent this season with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL, where he recorded 68 points (32-36-68) in 63 games.
