Zdeno Chara in the running for Mark Messier Award

The NHL announced that Zdeno Chara is one of three finalists for this year's Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award along with Sidney Crosby and Jarome Iginla. According to NHL.com, "the award honors an individual who leads by positive example through on-ice performance, motivation of team members and a dedication to community activities and charitable causes."
The finalists and award winner are chosen by Hall of Famer Mark Messier.
