Bruins place Peter Schaefer on unconditional waivers
The Globe is reporting that the Bruins placed Peter Schaefer on unconditional waivers. If Schaefer clears waivers, he will likely be bought out. If his contract is bought out, the Bruins would take a $700,000 cap hit for the next two seasons. With the Bruins current cap situation, I say just let him rot in Providence. The only thing this move does is save Jeremy Jacobs a few extra dollars.
