According to the Star Tribune, free agent defenseman Shane Hnidy has signed a one year, $750,000 contract with the Minnesota Wild. Hnidy appeared in 108 games for the Bruinsover two seasons and put up 4-13-17 totals to go along with a +2 rating and 77 PIMs.

"Sheriff Shane" will be best remembered in Boston for "re-arranging"  "pretty little boy" Matty Niskanen's "kisser":

If you have read this blog before, you know that I not torn up about seeing the Sheriff patrolling another team's blue line next season.
