Kessel to Sharks?

Its Eklund so take this with a grain of salt. Eklund rates his posts by 1-5 with 5 being the most likely to occur. This is rated at an E4. In my offseason boredom i messed around with the trade machine posted on SCOC. The guys i saw that i liked were michalek, clowe and setoguchi. Setoguchi is very very similar to kessel the only difference is five goals, three draft picks, months in age, and he is only paid 1.3 million. or somewhere near that. Point is we could get him and be under the cap. Clowe and michalek are more expensive and less skill yet they are bigger.

I saw this, but didn’t post anything on it since it is from Eklund and is probably 99.99999% crap. There is no way that the Sharks would trade Setoguchi for Kessel. He has one year left on his entry level deal for $765,000 ($1.247 million against the cap). He had a breakout season and is a more complete player than Kessel for roughly $4 million less. What is in this deal for the Sharks? Not happening.

No, no. After a year of rigorous testing, they found that Eklund is only 97% crap, and the 3% is usually something he got off TSN.

Aint gonna happen. The Sharks are in even worse cap space trouble than the Bruins for 2009-2010. They have cap space of only $0.899M (only 17 players included in that calculation according to NHLNumbers.com …. You need 20 to 23 players for season opening roster) …. But if Sharks are that dumb, I’m sure PC will accomodate.

Yep Eklund is wrong most of the time. I saw a bunch of sites plugging it like it was true. I think it was an (e5) or something like that.

i can appreciate the fact that it is the hockey dead season, and it really makes me appreciate living in this market that we are worrying about something that eklund posted……….i can say with almost 100 % certainty that out of the 30 NHL teams maybe 10 markets can sustain banter like this during the offseason……..
