It looks like The Rebel Yelle is heading to Rebel Country. The Carolina Hurricanes have picked from the Bruins scrap heap once again this off-season by signing veteran center Stephane Yelle to a one year, $500,000 contract. I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure.
The 35 year old veteran centerman appeared in 77 regular season-season games for the B's last season posting 7-11-18 totals. Yelle was solid defensively for the Bruins but the signing of Steve Begin (who fills a similar role only with more grit) clearly spelled the end for Old Yeller in the Hub of Hockey.
