Bruins Individual Game Tickets Now on Sale....and they increased prices
Regular season Bruins tickets are now on sale. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling 617-624-BEAR or stopping by the Bruins Box Office.
If you are planning on buying tickets this year, start saving now. Ticket prices have gone up once again (Delaware North most be trying to fund a new racino in West Virginia or something). It will cost you at least $121.50 to get a ticket downstairs ($141.50 for "Gold Level Games").
The Bruins did bring back their Student Night tickets for $29.50 balcony seats. Something tells me that there will be a lot of balding 35 year old "college students" at The Garden this year. I knew I saved that old college ID for a reason.
10 Game Mini Plans are also on sale. Last year the "Hungry for Hockey" 5 game mini-plan was the best deal going. For $39.80 a game you got a balcony ticket and access to an all-you-can-eat concession area. This year, those same tickets increased to $65 a ticket and a 10 game minimum. I guess you will just have to eat an extra $25 worth of luke warm hotdogs to make it worthwhile this year.
To put the Bruins fan fleecing in prospective, you can buy season tickets for the Tampa Bay Lightning ($239) for less than a seat on the glass for one "Gold Level Game" at The TD Garden ($289.50).

$239
For season tickets…. STAGGERING.
And they have a Stanely Cup in the past 30 years…. Imagine that.
There were tickets for sale?
Really, there were some left?
I picked up a 10 game mini-plan for 3 seats earlier this month up in 322. Not bad seats, but certainly over $100 more per seat, and for less games.
They also had a “Cybear pre-sale” on Wednesday for Club members. There was nothing at all that I found worth getting, as all the remaining seats were well over $100 each.
Granted, most of the Balcony went in Season ticket sales, so what can you do?
Stub Hub was fairly cheaper on Wednesday. Picked up two extra games there for seats that were in the $45-55 range.
Glad I bought a mini-plan. And, as I got a P-Bruins one too, I get a voucher to another Boston game!
Couldnt agree more with you guys
I was shocked how much prices went up. Last year I sat second row behind the glass against the Wild for a nice 90 bucks. Those same seats are now $141!!!! Granted the product has gotten better the last couple years, but thats steep!!!
Are you kidding me?
I can’t believe they raised the prices again..! They gave us a poor team for years and still raised prices back then.. Now they have a decent team and they screw us again.. Thanks JJ… Sooner or later the fans ARE going to rebel….

Another uncalled for shot
Pat, Celtics and Red Soxs all have the highest ticket prices in there respective sports, yet the Krafts and Grosbecks of the world get off without comment of greed being thrown asbout in this town. Jacobs has been a punching bag, even when the organization spends up to the cap and invest in there player developement programs. The Bruins aren’t hording money, they are not the clippers of the NHL, they do invest it in the team. The real problem is a commishinor that has done little to grow intrest in a league that is muh more existing than some other that have seen growth in a down economy.
I like most would like to see lower ticket prices also, but until all the sports leagues stop handing over money like drunken saliors it will trickle down to the fans, be it in seat prices or cable subscription.
False
The Sox have the second highest prices. Although, I agree tickets to Sox games have gotten riddiculous: http://teammarketing.com.ismmedia.com/ISM3/std-content/repos/Top/Fan%20Cost%20Index/MLB/MLB%20FCI%2009.pdf
The Pats have the highest prices in the NFL, but they have a new stadium and continuously field a competitive team and Robert Kraft is actually visionable and an involved owner. http://teammarketing.com.ismmedia.com/ISM3/std-content/repos/Top/Fan%20Cost%20Index/NFL/NFL08.pdf
The Celtics have the third highest ticket prices in the NBA. http://teammarketing.com.ismmedia.com/ISM3/std-content/repos/Top/Fan%20Cost%20Index/NBA/NBA_FCI_08-09.pdf
The salary cap was the best thing that ever happened to Jeremy Jacobs. The biggest difference is that the other owners are passionate about the teams they own. It seems like Jacobs would rather hide out in Buffalo.

To put this in perspective:
Boston Bruins 6 game plan, back corner of upper balcony – $299
Worcester Sharks Half-Season plan, lower bowl – $290
Providence Bruins Half-Season plan, lower bowl – $275
Lowell Devils Half-Season plan, it’s only one level – $270
It’s not even close. If I lived in any of those cities I’d be all over it, but Providence’s $135 10 game flex + 4 opening night tickets deal is really tempting…I wish Worcester had it (since I went to college there).
I used to go to a lot of Portland Pirates games back when they had Jim Carrey, Anson Carter, Andrew Brunette, Jason Allison, Richard Zednik, etc.
