From a friend of mine with better connections than me…

'Nucks Misconduct - Housing Swedish Millionaires Since 2000.
I have probably the best view in the press box. Somehow ended up front row center.

Hey Beantowners. I was looking at an Original Six photo book about a month ago and admiring the old Boston yellow sweaters, said to my wife I’m not sure why they retired these puppies. Nice to see them in this game, not sure wh ythey had to tinker with the classic logo though.

the logo (and a lack of unlimited disposable income) was one of the things that kept me from snatching one of these up on day one of availability. Still may grab one in the future though :)
1st Winter Classic scrap
wonder what Bettman thinks of a little bit of fisticuffs in the showcase game :)
Likely he hates it. I can just hear all of the casual fans he loves so much…
“See, that’s why I don’t watch hockey, all they do is fight.”

i’m a total hockey fighting hypocrite. Stepping back, I don’t believe fighting has a part in sports (I’ve coached youth sports, so I’m probably a bit pollyanna-ish about it because I don’t like the kids to emulate that).
But when guys drop the gloves, I’m on my feet and glued to the screen, and yelling at the non-Bruins.
Don’t they play it at Fenway from time to time?

There was a guy with a Whalers hat in the background of a shot working for a film crew.
You hear about the Danbury Whalers?
Had season seats to the Pack. Used ‘em like twice. Couldn’t get up for them.

LOVE two of the new logos (the “D” and “D/W”); hate the wordmark. Great for the city and state, just hope the league gets off the ground

Allow me to be the only first to say Florida Panthers fans are cheering for Boston. We’re all counting on you.
wish I could say us Sharks fan were on the same page, but we’re not … over at FTF, our cheering is split … down with Pronger! … :)

Yankee Stadium is tied up with Bowl games for the next three years is what I read somewhere.

All the traditionalists had strokes over the prospect of a hockey game closing the old stadium. No fun.

by Donny Rivette on Jan 1, 2010 2:50 PM EST up reply actions
No…just curious since there was so little news from the Boston end.

as a B’s fan, it’s hard to take kessel’s side when you’ve got guys like Savard structuring their deals in a manner which lets them stay in the city, as opposed to playing hardball with a team against the cap.
I liked Kessel as a Bruin, but it’s a business and I wouldn’t have wanted to see the rest of the team gutted to sign in. And while he has a nice scoring touch, there are other parts of the game where he doesn’t contribute as much, so it wasn’t a sure-firing signing.
That said, given the stretches where the B’s have had trouble scoring this season, and the Kessel as double digit goals after only a month and a half of play, in the short term at least it’s a tougher pill to swallow.
Been there, my friend. Tough pill indeed, short term.

Games like this make me a born again hockey fan.
The only thing missing was Dave Schulz and Terry O’Rielly having a playful fight during the time outs.
The Niel Diamond cameo at 8 minutes was tacky but understandable considering the setting.
I liked the 10 year old kids playing Hockey in Centerfield.
The Bruins seemed to have a flair for the dramatic scoring in the last two minutes in of regulation and then getting the game winner in OT after I thought Philly scored on their last rush.
The game certainly was a Classic as both teams left it all on the ice today.
I miss the hockey on TV as I do not live in hockey country.
How are the Bruins doing overall this year?
Hello, Hello! I don't know why you say good-bye, I say Hello!
