"The Boston Bruins are just about finished"
His words, not mine. The next 2 weeks sans both Savard and Bergeron aren't going to be fun, but totally writing the B's off? A bit much, methinks.

I agree
I wasn’t too happy with that article—we’ve been dealing with injuries all season, not just recently. And it’s silly to say that a 1-3 stretch has us “just about finished.” It’s halfway through the season, for Christ’s sake. We’re in 5th place right now and I think that, as Satan gets more comfortable, Lucic grows stronger and Krejci (hopefully) picks up the slack, we’ll hang on to a playoff spot until the key pieces are back.
Optimism aside, I would like to see more from the “big three” defensemen (on pace to combine for just 18 goals—Chara alone had 19 last season!), a little more Tuukka (just three starts in the past month) and a reappearance from Michael “Ghost” Ryder (just three goals since the end of November). I’d say show him the bench for a game, but there isn’t exactly a surplus of manpower.
Luckily every other team in the east sucks too, so hopefully we’ll sneak into the playoffs and everyone will be back and we’ll be healthy. Is this the year?

Normally, I hate it when fans refer to their favorite team as “we”, but with the way things are going with all the injuries, you might actually be lacing ‘em up for the B’s here pretty soon.

to Cornelius Hardenberg
I feel the same way, I wish I could play. But, what a pipe dream on my count.
Hmm, until you mentioned that, I never even noticed my tendency of referring to myself and the Bruins as one.
Blame the advertisers (and PA announcer) for “Your Boston Bruins!”

I'm kind of half and half on the "we" and Bruins situation
On one hand as fans we keep this team going. Without the fans there would be no Bruins. US fans who keep going to and watching the games night after night is what keeps the Bruins in Boston. We pretty much pay their salaries and keep them around, so we should be able to consider ourselves as part of the team. On the other when I write about the Bruins I try to avoid the “we’s” and “us’s”, but sometimes it slips out due to the passion I feel about the Bruins.

team about done
Wow, another fair weather fan. We are not done but, everyone in our division, besides the Sabres, are giving us a fair shot of gaining our lead back. So one thing I have to say is lets go BRUINS. Take advantage of this and lets get back in the lead. Also, like alot of other post friends have said it is to early to count us out. If you know anything it is better ot slump now because sooner or later the team that is leading our division will go through their slumpfest. Then we can pounce all over them. Love my BRUINS
