Former Bruin All Star Team
I always notice Bruins players of the past skating on other teams and wonder "what if". Just for fun make a roster of former Bruins still active in the NHL. There are quite a few out there. Is there another NHL team who can field a better group of has beens?
Im going with:
Knuble - Thornton - Kessel
Roloston - Boyes- Guerin
Samsonov - Pahlsson - Versteeg
Orr - Metropolit - Primeau

Great idea! couple of things I’d change:
Sergei Gonchar played for the Bruins, I’d put him in place of any of those defensemen. Sean O’Donnell seems to be doing well in LA, stats-wise.
Aaron Ward got waived by the worst team in the league. Hmmmm.

Where’s Kobasew? And Hal Gill over Gonchar?
I notice goalies also are missing. But I suspect there’s a reason for that…
Active former goalies for the Bruins:
Alex Auld
Joey McDonald
Andrew Raycroft
yyyyup.

Backing up Luongo, so he’s more just opening the bench door.

Actually, statistically he’s having his third-best year of his career. Huh.

I’d probably take Boynton over Montador, just because the short time Montador was here he was brutal.

You might be right about that but I think somewhere deep in my sub-conscience I tried to stay away from anyone that spent to much time in Phoenix.
Why? Phoenix had a shit coach for a while, but the players themselves weren’t especially bad.

I don’t know. I just get a yucky feeling. Watching the Great One coach that team is like watching Dick Clarks Rockin’ New Years Eve. They should sell the Coyotes to The City Of Hartford and be done with it.
Concuss that!

I suppose you’re like me and have gone into complete denial about the 09-10 season.
