NESN's own Bruins play-by-play man Jack Edwards was back on Toucher & Rich on 98.5 The Sports Hub this morning "dropping pucks and dropping science" for another game of everyone's favorite on-air contest: "New Jack Edwards".

egad….

it’s either

A) i’m a bitter, humorless prick and didn’t find this funny at all…. (not even a chuckle)

B) this humor is far too complicated for my simple-mindedness to comprehend.

or C) Jack Edwards was, is and always will be a giant bag of douche and nothing he says, sings or does will make me laugh (okay, maybe i’ll laugh…out of pity)

probably a good mix of all A, B and C. regardless, i didn’t find it funny.

You kind of have to listen to Toucher & Rich on a regular basis to fully appreciate it. I’m not a big Jack Edwards fan, but I love that he does stuff like this where he is kind of poking fun at himself. I’ve said it before, I think Jack is a good guy, I just don’t like the way he calls games.

Yeah, I haven’t listened to them much lately.

However, I did really enjoy the Geddy Bruschi bit, which was pretty much the same thing as this. I guess I found Teddy signing Rush songs slowly made me laugh more than Jack doing early-90s hip hop and r&b.

I think the “this guy/that guy” challenge is one of the best bits they do though.
