Mark Stuart has surgery on finger; out until after Olympics
Mark Stuart will be out until at least after the Olympic break after injuring his finger in a fight with Wayne Simmonds of the LA Kings on Saturday night. The defenseman underwent surgery to repair the finger on Monday afternoon.
This is what happens when a guy lays a clean open-ice hit and has to defend his actions by fighting some alleged tough guy with a visor.
Adam McQuaid was called up from Providence on an emergency basis due to Stuart's injury.
