Bruins are goin' to Carolina
While New Englanders battle rain and floods, the Bruins will turn their attention to the Hurricanes. The Bruins's will travel south to Raleigh, NC to take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight at 7:00 (NESN). The Bruins will try to end a two game skid after a 3-2 loss to New Jersey on Monday night. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes will be looking to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to Phoenix on Saturday. The Bruins are currently hanging on to the 8th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 72 points, but the B's can hear footsteps behind him as the Rangers are only 1 point back. The Hurricanes are a long shot to make the playoffs, but are still in the picture with 64 points. I would expect Tuukka Rask to get the start in goal tonight after the young Finnish goaltender looked solid in relief of Tim Thomas in Monday night's loss to the Devils.

I'm surprised
We don’t see more “Hurricanes Blow!” signs at games. It’s a statement of fact in more ways then one.

Dennis Wideman DVR’s all his games. He skips over the parts he is on the ice but he does watch the rest.
That explains it!
Julien’s giving Wideman all that playing time so he’ll keep getting invited over to Dennis’ totally sweet batchelor pad to for marathon sessions of Soul Caliber on the big screen.
Do you blame him?

That game pic has got to be a fake.....
you know why? because Thomas isn’t well ot of position lying face down and the puck isn’t in the back of the net.
If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.

They just talked Bruins/Pens on PTI with Melrose. He says it wasn’t a cheap shot (I seriously disagree there), but he’s right about the B’s lack of action being an embarrassment. They used the old sans-serif logo, oddly.
There’s stations in Boston that still use the old logo. I guess the changes were too subtle.

Some stations just don’t care…and it shows.
