Jerry York, your team got handed, handed the win on Saturday. UMass was in it until a giveaway in front of the net that even Wideman and Hunwick would shake their heads at. It’s a shame I went to a div. III school without ice hockey or else I would be incensed at BC and BU’s domination…instead, I can only feel bad for my UMass-following friend.

I never went a hockey game in college. The team was awful until after I graduated. They would win maybe 2 or 3 games a year and throw huge parties on the rare occasions when they did win.

I was going to ask the same thing.
Also, why would you play Ryder as a 4th line center? Sharp and Seguin both can play center.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Mar 16, 2010 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions
i would rather have sharp playing on the higher lines with bergy or savvy, i could see seguin being on the 4th and switching spots with ryder. but its mostly because i dont like him and enjoy seeing his name on the 4th line
by BlueNGoldBomber on Mar 16, 2010 8:47 PM EDT up reply actions
If he’s going to be on the 4th, I’d rather seguin/hall play in the AHL 20 minutes a game.

Center is not a position you can just throw someone into. He has played wing his whole career.
by Stanley Cup of Chowder on Mar 16, 2010 8:48 PM EDT up reply actions
Recchi at center didn’t work out that well, for example.

touche, we have enough depth at center that the positioning can be tinkered with
by BlueNGoldBomber on Mar 16, 2010 8:53 PM EDT up reply actions
well his name came up a lot at the deadline, and the hawks are in trouble next year salarywise. we have a pretty big surplus of picks and young talent, so if he comes up again, we could quite possibly make a run at him

He’s got a really good shot.
Man, Wideman with the crease-clear, Hunwick with the killer takeaway and then the first assist on that goal, and now ryder’s snipe. All we need now is for Thomas to come in and throw a shutout and it will be fan un-favorite superstar night.
