Bruins pay a visit to Toronto
The Bruins are paying a visit to our neighbors in The Great White North as they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. The B's are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday afternoon that saw them lose Marc Savard to a concussion after an open-ice head shot from Matt Cooke. It will be interesting to see how this team plays tonight after showing absolutely no heart and passion in the final minutes of Sunday's game.
Injury Report
Notes:
- Will tonight be the night that Phil Kessel finally does something against the Bruins?
- The Bruins have sent Dany Sabourin back down to Providence, which means that Tuuka Rask most be healthy.
- Marc Savard has been diagnosed with a Grade-2 concussion. According to Calude Julien, Savard has been very tired and has been experiencing the symptoms related to a concussion.
- The Bruins have called up defenseman Dustin Penner Jeff Penner from Providence.
- The game starts at 7:00 and can be seen on NESN.

Kessel
Well, last Thursday was the night Kessel did something against the Bruins. He finally looked dialled into the game, created some great chances, and used his speed.
Whether tonight is the night he actually scores is another question…

Oh, he’ll light ‘em up. Kessel’s continued vs. Bruins suckage has been one of the few things we B’s fans can take solace in this season, but after Sunday, it seems like a natural continuation of the state of affairs for Kessel to have the game of his life. I pray I’m wrong, but the hockey gods haven’t been kind this year.
Uh...
…I don’t think we called up Dustin Penner, the 24 goal, 47 point left winger from Edmonton haha. That would be nice though.
Coach Calude will sort it out.

Apparently Campbell has claimed in interviews that it was a “clean hit” with the shoulder. How does this guy keep a job?
It looks like an upper arm hit to me, not really an elbow. Headhunting, but not an elbow.

That said I hope Cooke’s leg gets taken off and he’s beaten to death with it.

No suspension needed, we'll see him again on the 18th
Payback is best served on the ice, not by the league
No, no, no.

No crap. He’s one of the best D in the NHL and has some pretty amazing offensive tricks up his sleeve too. I honestly don’t know why the Bruin’s team strategy for offensive penetration isn’t: “give Z the puck, follow him, look for rebounds.”
He’s got more points than Savard this year.
