So here’s the question… Hall or Seaguin?

Lets hope that our balls come down to that question….

If we get in that position, I think we should definitely take Taylor Hall because as others have noted, we’re pretty deep at Center and Hall is just an all around great player

by delta on Apr 13, 2010 7:55 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m hoping Hall.

All the buzz is that there is very little that seperates the two. Either one should produce nicely at the NHL level. Some say Seaguin might be a bit safer since he did more with less but thats only splitting hairs. Although Hall is the winger so by position, he might be the better pick

So how does this lottery show thing work? Do they show the results off the bat and then analyze for a 1/2 hour, or do we have to wait the through whole thing until the end?

Chiarelli has awfully stylish glasses for a GM.

Hahvahd, baby.

Also pretty pimp that he’s rocking a blue and white shirt.

It’s a good place to get breaking NHL news as long as you only follow people who will actually give good info.

Plus the B’s still have mad picks to use or trade (their 1st, Toronto’s 2nd), so it’s alllllll good.

sigh I used mad as an adjective.

by Arenacale on Apr 13, 2010 8:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Call me an idiot but I want him on a wing, damn it.

by MattS on Apr 13, 2010 8:28 PM EDT up reply actions

It's immediate needs.

And Hall seems more in line with what we need this very moment.

Not saying I disagree, but Oilers need a centre

by 13_Legion on Apr 13, 2010 8:30 PM EDT up reply actions

yea, i’d be more excited if seguin went to the oilers as #1, but I can see myself eating those words 2 years from now

by delta on Apr 13, 2010 8:26 PM EDT up reply actions

I read an interview with Seguin about a month agpo and said he was really receptive to moving to the wing it may take a while for him to get comfortable, but he said he can produce on the same level at all forward positions…..of course, however, i can’t find the interview now

by Dangles-McDonnybrook on Apr 13, 2010 8:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I’d take Seguin, who cares about the center problem…..if he’s as productive as he was before you could just switch out one of the lesser talent centers we have

by delta on Apr 13, 2010 8:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Very true too. Either way, it’s a good problem to have.

by 13_Legion on Apr 13, 2010 8:32 PM EDT up reply actions

Seguin will be a good player but we really dont need another center. If we cant have Hall then I’d rather trade down and get Fowler, Gudbranson or Gormley.

Go BRUINS!!!

by Brad Ackerson on Apr 13, 2010 8:30 PM EDT up reply actions

The difference between #2 and #3 in this draft is huge. We may not need another center at the moment, but you don’t turn down a guy who is more than worthy of a #1 overall pick.

by Phunwin on Apr 13, 2010 8:32 PM EDT up reply actions

So where’s the draft party being held?

by Arenacale on Apr 13, 2010 8:29 PM EDT reply actions

by delta on Apr 13, 2010 8:30 PM EDT reply actions

I should emphasize that we are in NO WAY gloating about this #2 pick. We are simply using GBF to demonstrate that we got #2 and not the Islanders. Or Blue Jackets. Or Panthers.

by Arenacale on Apr 13, 2010 8:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Now we just have to wait until June 25th to see which of the two we get

by Dangles-McDonnybrook on Apr 13, 2010 8:38 PM EDT reply actions
