You know it is the off-season when...
...a lowly B's blogger's offhand remark on Twitter about Jeremy Roenick's waterworks is the inspiration for a post by Puck Daddy contributor Ryan Lambert.
By the way, how awesome is Mike Milbury?

lol yeah, nbc was definately exploiting the shit out of that too, they were going with the “look at the passion of hockey players” for the casual fan, while everyone who knows about hockey was laughing

All of you people suck, that was a really touching moment and Milbury was the equivalent of dumb fratboy shithead.

MM is a Jackass!
His old school way of thinking is unfortunately what seems to be the standard for this organization. Which is probably why this team can’t/won’t win championships until this mindset changes.
BTW….I know MM isn’t associated with the Bruins anymore. My point was that the attitude of “Big and Bad are Back” isn’t getting this team past the second round of the Playoffs.
the way to win these days involves having some really good players on entry-level contracts.
Like, say, seguin.

I believe you are right.
If this #2 gets traded anyway besides up (although keeping it is probably the way to go) then I am out. :(
Trading down would be idiotic.
Trading up would probably be overpriced.

I think it would take a Jedi mind trick to get the Oilers agree to take some of the Bruins cap hit, and the #2 for Hall overall.
I have a feeling that PC sees Seguin as a Center (which is the one position other than goal that the Bruins are set at) only. I think he believes he can get another first and second round pick for him. Probably going after Fowler and some “true” wingers.
I have a feeling that PC sees Seguin as a Center only.
Except he has said in interviews that both Hall and Seguin can play both Center and Wing

Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for JR. Being from Duxbury, I usually hate anyone from Marshfield, but this guy really made a name for himself in the NHL (both positively and negatively).
Whatever happened to Pat Leahy anyway? ;)
good for him
my sister graduated with him and I’ve met him quite a few times before…..great guy. I probably just could’ve googled his name and figured that out on my own. Thanks though.
let me elaborate.....
…..I just think it’s borderline retarded to try to call out scoc for a one-liner he posted on his twitter. opinions are opinions……is writing an opinion article talking about other opinions really an insightful piece of literature? not in my opinion, at least
SCoC wasn’t the only one talking about it, nor the first. His tweet was just a shining example of the people-who-hate-JR-and/or-are-soulless-robots crew.

I don’t hate JR. I just think he sucks at his job.

I just think it’s sad when you need to use a Twitter comment as the basis for an article. That’s all…
The concept of the weekly piece is “what people are talking about on twitter.” Considering that’s where NHL news breaks these days, and discussion happens…
