Bruins announce '10-'11 Schedule
The Bruins along with the rest of the NHL have announced their schedule for the upcoming season. The B's will drop the puck on the '10-'11 campaign in Prague, Czech Republic with two games against the Phoenix Coyotes on October 9th and 10th. The team will then hit the road for a two-game trip to New Jersey and Washington, while the circus is in town before facing the Washington Capitals again in their home opener on October 21st.
Schedule Highlights:
- The B's will face their division rivals (Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo, and Toronto) 6 times each.
- The Carolina Hurricanes will be the Bruins' opponent for their annual day after Thanksgiving matinee.
- For the second straight year the Bruins will play on New Year's Day. Only this time they will play indoors against the Sabres in Buffalo.
- The Bruins first meeting with the Philadelphia Flyers will be December 1st in Philly.
- The B 's will have to play the Washington Capitals 3 times in their first 9 regular season games, including a home and home series on 10/19 and 10/21.
- Habs Games: Home - 11/11, 2/9, & 3/24; Road - 12/16, 1/8, & 3/8
- They will host the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks on March 29th.
- The B's will play a home and home series with the Detroit Red Wings on 2/11 and 2/13. They will also have a home and home with the Carolina Hurricanes on 1/17 and 1/18.
- The Bruins' longest road-trip is 6 game from February 17th to March 1st.
- The Bruins will close out the regular season against New Jersey at home.

And the reason the Bruins don’t play a single game in Chicago is??
They play everyone in their division 6 times, the rest of the East 4 times, and the West at least once. The rest of the games are fill-ins of Western Conference teams. The only Western Conference teams they will play twice this year are Phoenix, LA, and Detroit.
