Bruins give qualifying offers to all RFAs except Paille and Regan
According to Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe, the Bruins have qualified all of their current restricted free agents except forward Daniel Paille and minor league goaltender Kevin Regan.
The team appears to still be negotiating with Paille, but might not want to pay the $1.35 million he earned last season. Under the current CBA, qualifying offers for a player who earns more than $1 million must be at least 100% of his salary for the previous season. Paille will now be considered an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
Kevin Regan will not be playing for the Bruins organization next season. After splitting time between the ECHL and AHL over parts of the past 3 seasons, the Bruins have decided to cut ties with the South Boston native and former UNH netminder.

Good point by Haggerty:
Peter Chiarelli said consistently the Bruins were going to qualify RFA Daniel Paille. Not qualifying him says something about cap situation
Hope they resign Paille
Now that they traded away Vlad keeping Paille around would be useful you need players like him on the team I hope they can work out a price for his contract.
What does everyone think of these trade rumors??
It’s no secret that the Bruins are close to the cap.
So, who gets moved?
-Thomas?
-Savard?
-Wheeler?
-Someone else?
Sturm starts the season on LTIR, doesn’t play until December. Boom.

I’d think stewie gets AT LEAST ference money $2.25, so i’d guess no but not far from $4M.

I 'd like to see them start the season with something like this!
Savard 4 Lucic 4.1 Horton 4 = 12.1M
Krejci 3.75 Ryder 4 (Satan 1) = 8.750M
Bergeron 4.75 Recchi 1.5 (Seguin 3.75M) = 10M
(Campbell 0.8) Thornton 0.9 (Paille 0.8) = 2.5M
Chara 7.5 Sieds 3.25 Ference 2.25 = 13M
Hunwick 1.45 Boychuck 1.875 (Stewie 2.25) = 5.575M
(7th Defenceman / xtra forward 0.8) = 0.8M
Thomas 5 Tuukka 1.25 = 6.25M
Thats 58.975M total with 0.425 of cap space.
By the time Sturm comes back in Dec/Jan they could have answers to some of thier questions Tuukka, Seguin, Savard etc. and maybe find abuyer for Thomas or even Ryder.

Where do you get $3.75 million for Seguin? He will be on an entry-level deal ($925,000 max, plus a max of $2 million in bonuses)

I just assumed Tavares/ Stamkos figures 975K salary and 2.85M in bonuses!

Actually, you might be right. This CBA thing is confusing.

Is it ever. I’m trying to find, what Blake wheelers qualifying offer would be (105% I think) but all the whereto therefors are getting in the way!

Less than or equal to $660,000 = 110% of previous yr’s salary
$660,001 – $999,999 = $105%
$1 million + = 100%
