To the best of my knowledge, Marc Savard was set to be a free agent this current off season. So what if he wasn't signed in December?
Assume Savvy doesn't have the concussion and finishes at 85 pts, just under 1 ppg.
Assume Savvy is willing to take the same cap friendly, long term deal to stay in Boston.
Assume the NHL season plays out the exact same, B's get stung in the playoffs, get the #2 pick and take Tyler Seguin:

Would you look to resign Savvy this off season or let him walk.
Yes. Easily the best offensive producer on the team, and a very cap friendly deal (28 votes)
Yes, but not for the same deal. I'd pay a bit more per year for less years (2 votes)
No. I'd roll the dice with Seguin, Hamill and Colborne for the 3rd center and use the $$ elsewhere (10 votes)
No. The team is better off without him on it. (0 votes)
