Trent Whitfield likely out for season with Achilles injury
Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com is reporting that Bruins depth forward Trent Whitfield is likely on the shelf for the entire season after rupturing his Achilles tendon while working out.
According to Mark Divver of the Providence Journal, Whitfield injured the tendon while running back on August 13th. The Pro-Jo is reporting that Whitfield had surgery and will be out until at least mid-February.

It looks like they were reporting it on Saturday. http://www.somethingsbruin.net/providence-bruins/august-2010/trent-whitfield-out-for-2010-11-season.html
If they were the first to report this, my apologies for not giving them the credit.

I’m pretty sure they were, but no big deal. I’m not used to blogs scooping something like this, and I’m pretty sure Joe confirmed it with his own sources before publishing.
Either way, seems like it’s a big loss for Providence but shouldn’t affect Boston too much.

well at least you gave credit anyhow.
at least you didn’t pull a Toronto Sun/Pension Plan Puppets and give zero credit.
Nah, different situation.

No it doesn’t. I never read the post on Something’s Bruin until Cornelius mentioned it. I cited the two sources where I saw it, the CSNNE.com and the ProJo. Neither one of those stories cited Something Bruin, most likely because they didn’t get the info from there either. I always cite sources. That is something that you can not accuse me of. Say you disagree with what I write or that my stuff sucks, but don’t say that I don’t give credit where credit is due. I have always taken pride in my site for doing just that.
As for the translation thing, I am staying far away from that drama.

Nope, totally different. In one the sun used ppp’s translation. In this, SCoC linked to a story on CSNNE. If you can’t tell the difference, reconsider law school.

ho hum. he wasn’t making the team out of the gate anyway. sucks for our depth but we have plenty of others to fill his role.
It was sarcasm
as in, who really cares?
