Today, the NHL announced the roster of players that are heading to Raleigh, NC later this month for NHL All-Star Weekend. Representining the Bruins in the All-Star Game will be goaltender Tim Thomas and defenseman Zdeno Chara. Rookie forward Tyler Seguin will also be making the trip as one of the 12 rookies selected to compete in the NHL SuperSkills Competition.
All-Star Weekend will take place from January 28th-30th. The NHL was desperate to add a gimmick to draw attention to the usual snore-fest that is the NHL All-Star, so they decided to pick teams gym class style. Two captains will be selected and a draft will be held on Friday, January 28th.
