Regardless of the outcome of the season...Stanley cup or early exit...who doesn't have a chance to stay in Boston next year?
Out of our entire roster there are players who do we re-sign, trade, or let walk? This year is difficult to tell for Savvy so forget him for a second and let him rest. Will Rex retire? Will Ryder take a needed paycut to play for his favorite coach? Who is still on the payroll for a few years thta might be traded this season? An don't forget we have guys in PRO trying to suit up for the real deal. Seguin, Looch, Marsh, Chara, Sides, Staurt, Boychuck, Bergy, Soup, Horton, Rask, Thomas, and Thorton are safe right?
But the trade deadline is coming up and say some bottom dwellers (isles, Oil, or Devils) want to sell. Would we seperate with anyone the franchise had plans with for Patrick Elias/Ales Hemsky?
Also please not whose a RFA and UFA, and the cap will probally increase again this year. Try to look at all the angles like a GM without assuming anything about Savvy. I feel like this could be a great discussion to see who the fans think are more important to the team.
