2011-2012 season is so close...
that we can almost taste it. Our beloved Boston Bruins are getting ready to defend the title they so deserved last year and I am just a bit curious to see what everyone is looking forward to this season. Is there a certain game you have circled on your calendar or a certain player or players that you are excited to see how they fare this season. It can be Bruins related or anywhere in the league but I am curious what story lines or games or whatever it is that excites you about this upcoming season.
I have a few that I am looking forward to...
1) Will Tyler Seguin take a step forward or back this year? What should reasonable expectations be for this kid. I know he has the skills to be great but how soon will he realize that potential?
2) The first regular season game vs the hated bleu blanc et rouge which is the first game of a home and home series at the end of October should ensure some hatred for the rest of the season. I can tell you all for sure that I will have my beer on ice for that night.
3) Who will be the rookie that steps up this year to be a contributor for the Bruins. I am hoping that Jordan Caron will make that move. I just think he is the type of player all teams want to have. He can play both wings and is reliable in his own end and just plays a complete game. He kind of reminds me of Patrice Bergeron or a player with that type of potential.
4) How will the goalie situation pan out over the season? We all love what Tim Thomas (aka Goaltending God) did for us last year but at some point he will have to move on from hockey and Tuukka will have to step up.
5) As for my non Bruins interest I am curious as to how the Flyers will fare this year after their roster shake up and is this the year the LA Kings grow up and dominate the west?
Those are a few things I am looking forward to this season how about you??
Oh yeah when will the fire CJ talk start (insert sarcasm here)

nice post BG
I’m with you on #3 – Jordan Caron. Also looking forward to seeing Horton back in the game.
Don’t Worry….. my FLYERS will surprise allot of people this year. The young guns will step up scoring and Jagr will help groom the boys.
I think the winners of each Division will be Capitals, Bruins, & Penguins.

a few things im looking forward too
1. 80 or more points from david krejci building on the terrific play he exhibited in the playoffs
2. altho tuuka wasnt awful last year,( it seems they never scored more than 2 for him) i look for a big bounceback year from him i hope he plays 30 to maybe even 40 games
3. the finals rematch in january when we laugh luongo out of the building again, why the nhl would make this a saturday afternoon game is beyond me, seems like a prime candidate for saturday night, and HNIC up north here
