Bobby Orr makes his NHL debut: Oct 19, 1966

Yes you all know I'm a Habs fan, but Bobby Orr was a player that stood out for me growing up. It was on this day in 1966 that he made his NHL debut.

Orr picked up an assist as the Bruins beat the Detroit Red Wings, 6-2 in Boston Garden.It was the same night that Harry Sinden made his coaching debut with the Bruins.

Oddly enough on the same day, 13 years later, Orr recorded his last assist (#645) of his NHL career, as the Chicago Blackhawks won 6-2 over the Minnesota North Stars.
