I just stuck around because I just want to say what a piece of [expletive] I think [Milan] Lucic is. Fifty pounds on me, and he runs me like that. It’s unbelievable. Everyone in this city sees him as a big, tough, solid player. I respected him for how hard he played. That was gutless. Gutless, piece of [expletive].

Has Miller gotten the message that hockey players are supposed to be tough? Take a hit and stop whining.

Trolololol
@NaokoFunayama: Lucic was surprised there wasn’t response after his hit on Miller. Says if roles were reversed, Bruins would’ve responded differently.

What a diva
I’m sure it wasn’t the best part of his day, but man, his complaining is more embarrassing than the fact that his teammates didn’t really do anything.
Typical Buffalo.
Hmmm
Reminds me of a certain whiny Western Conference team we all know and * cough * love. Take a hit, and then bitch and moan about the other team when your own teammates won’t even back you up.

Yeah, it took some real guts to swing your stick like a machete afterwards.
Whiny little bitch.

I didnt like the play...
I thought running Miller was kind of a low class play but after reading Looch’s words I think he almost did it on purpose to see what kind of reaction he would get. I could not believe that not one player on the ice stood up for their star goalie. That is absolutely insane. There is no way a player should be able to run a goalie and then stand over top of him and smile about it. Like Looch said if someone does that to Timmy then there is probably a line brawl. Sabres = Soft.
They did it for Savy, they did it for Horton, they did it for each other, they did it for us. I give you the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions....The Boston Bruins!!
Or Timmy murders them, smiling ear-to-ear the entire time.

I think Miller’s frustrated because his teammates: a. played like shit most of the night, and b. didn’t avenge the hit. I can’t fault him for that. It was a dirty hit, and the Sabres should have sent a message (or at least tried to) that you can’t do that.
They’ve got guys who can fight, and they should have responded. If Cody McCormick isn’t throwing punches, he’s not doing a lot of good out there. True, the last time McCormick threw with Looch, he came out a lot worse for the wear, but hey, that’s your job, kid.
He ran the goalie and then trash-talked the Sabres for not fighting him. So basically, Lucic did the equivalent of sleeping with a guy’s wife and then drinking the last beer in the fridge on the way out the door….and was 100% right (about the last part, anyway). The Sabres are, collectively, a 21 man advertisement for vagisil.
You're alive!
I think Looch hitting him was kind of a dirtbag move, but I think when you’re a goalie and you come out to make a play like that, especially on a power forward, you should be prepared to get rocked. I can’t believe none of the Sabres even lifted a finger. I don’t care what kind of player you are, if somebody dares hit your goalie, you need to make them pay for it. Agreed on the vagisil part!

I’ve been insanely busy with work and just haven’t had the time to write lately. With unemployment around 9%, I suppose complaining that you have TOO MUCH work rings a bit hollow, but here we are. I’m hoping I’ll be able to participate a bit more soon, but who knows.
Hey, I think I'm finally getting over the SCF.... no.. not really.
But I wanted to get an idea of what you guys think of the Lucic hit. Thanks for calling it with some degree of objectivity. I agree with both of you. That was a douche move, but really, it’s up to Miller’s teammates to stand up for their star goalie. If no one’s willing to take one for Miller OR the team, then they are a bunch of pansies.
But, let’s not kid anyone if anyone thinks that hit was accidental. Lucic knew full well he was going to run into Miller, and just didn’t bother to even try to get out of the way.
The really sad thing is I’m worried if anyone runs Lui like that, our guys would just throw their hands up and wait and try to hit back on the PP…. I would much prefer if someone would stand up for Lui and if not fight Lucic, do something about it… especially when the game was a lost cause….

I like that Miller still had
to pump Looch’s tires there a little bit even as he was cursing him.
