After a few days off for the All-Star break, the Bruins are ready to get back to business with games that matter. The B's will kick off the post-All-Star Game portion of the schedule with a game against the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC tonight.
The Bruins went into the All-Star break as winners of 7 of their last 10 games (7-3-0) after a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers last Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes have won two straight after beating the lowly Toronto Leafs and New York Islanders before playing host to the hockey world for the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh this past weekend.

Jeff Skinner is fresh off of his first NHL All-Star appearance. The 18-year-old rookie became the youngest player in NHL history to play in the All-Star Game. Skinner has 3 points (1-2-3) in 3 games against the B's.

- All-Star Game participants Zdeno Chara and Tim Thomas stayed in Raleigh. The rest of the team traveled to North Carolina yesterday and met them down there. Tyler Seguin, who participated in the NHL SuperSkills Competition on Saturday night traveled back to Boston to practice with the team yesterday.
- The Bruins youngest and oldest player are both celebrating birthdays this week. Tyler Seguin turned 19 yesterday and Mark Recchi celebrates his 43 birthday today.
- Tim Thomas set an NHL All-Star Game record by being the winning goalie in three straight All-Star Games.
- The Bruins have a 2-1-0 record vs. Carolina this season.
- Carolina has struggled at the dot this year. The Canes are 29th in the NHL in face-offs (43.9%).
- The Game starts at 7:00 PM ET and airs on NESN.
