Bruins send minor leaguers Jeff Penner and Mikko Lehtonen to Minnesota for goalie Anton Khudobin
Chris Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Bob McKenzie of TSN have confirmed reports that the Bruins have sent Providence Bruins defenseman Jeff Penner and Swedish Elite League forward Mikko Lehtonen to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for minor league goalie Anton Khudobin.
Anton Khudobin was selected by the Wild in the 7th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The Kazakhstan native has appeared in 6 NHL games (including 4 this season). He has a 4-1-0 record in the NHL with a .955 save percentage, 1.39 GAA, and 1 shutout. Khudobin (pronounced "Who-Dobin" according to the always reliable Wikipedia) has spent most of the season with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League posting a 19-12-1 record with a .911 save percentage, 2.58 GAA, and 1 shutout. Khudobin will obviously report to Providence.

Have fun with him
He’s all over the place. He filled in as the back up for us when Backstrom was injured, and shut out Vancouver.
Let me just say, I’ve never seen a goaltender jump and dive as much as he does.

I have. His name is Tim Thomas.

Pretty sure if that happens (not happening)
The Bruins would sign someone to back up Rask with the $5 million in cap savings.
You are probably correct. I think the question was who is next on the depth chart at this moment.

Khudobin’s probably it unless he puts up bad numbers in providence.

Well, to whoever it was that wanted the B’s to get a third stringer in goal, your prayers have been answered.

Habs West
I read a comment here on Sat night re Canucks are like Habs west , the acquistion of Lapierre and Higgins will certainly add to that flavor. Now that Keslar has shut up and played good hockey, Laps will yap, and play bad hockey.. Canucks have not improved with this
