As expected, the Bruins formally announced that they are placing Marc Savard on the long-term injured reserve list and the veteran centerman will miss the remainder of the season after suffering his second concussion in less than a year. The announcement was made at a press conference held by GM Peter Chiarelli, Dr. Peter Asnis, and Marc Savard at TD Garden this afternoon.
