Bruins call up Jordan Caron
The Bruins announced today that they have recalled forward Jordan Caron from the Providence Bruins.
Caron begin the year with the big club and appeared in 20 games posting 7 points (3-4-7) and a +4 rating before being sent down to Providence. At the AHL level, the 20-year-old rookie has 17 points (6-11-17) in 27 games this season.
The moves comes just hours after the Bruins announced that center Marc Savard has been placed on the LTIR for the remainder of the season. The additional cap room created by placing Savard on the LTIR allowed the club to call up Caron to add additional depth to the NHL roster, a luxury that the Bruins have not had this season due to cap constraints.

Tryouts
Sounds to me like the B’s are going to give a handfull of guys (i.e. Hamill, Caron and maybe even Colborne or Sauve) a chance to fail before they look outside the organization for help.
Hamill
Hamill Hamill he’s our man! If he can’t do it, I’m pretty positive that someone else can!
But in all seriousness, I’d like for this kid to get a couple points and gain some confidence

I’m glad to see him back up, too. Not sure he has much left to prove in Providence.
But, this only supports SCoC’s prior thought that the B’s are showcasing Hamill for a trade. Because with Hamill AND Caron up, yes, they have more depth, but someone young and talented is probably going to be a healthy scratch.

Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi
Wheeler-Hamill/Seguin-Ryder
Paille-Campbell-Thornton
Where does Caron play? I suppose 4th line for now, but even then, either Hamill or Seguin is a healthy scratch unless someone needs a night off. Having young, talented players as healthy scratches on a regular basis isn’t good for their development. And neither, for that matter, is burning cap space.
My guess is that Seguin is going to be watching a few games from the 9th floor; the Bruins aren’t trading him unless there’s one hell of a return. But Caron and Hamill are hardly untouchables, and thus can be showcased. They will let Seguin watch and learn for a couple weeks until someone gets traded, I suspect.
i see paille watching from the 9th floor more than hamill/caron/especially seguin

OK, Paille watches from the 9th floor and Caron plays LW. Great. How do Hamill AND Seguin stay in the lineup?
maybe there is a trade involving paille or hamill imminent

Maybe they just have cap space to finally have depth…

i dont think there is anyway they scratch seguin, maybe alternate between scratching caron, hamill, and paille
Don’t be surprised to se Seguin on the 9th floor tomorrow. http://twitter.com/#!/HackswithHaggs/status/35115406154801152

Initial report on morning practice from Ristuccia indicates that Caron is playing LW on the “Merlot Line”, and that Hamill and Seguin are splitting time on the left wing, with Wheeler at C and Ryder at RW.
So, if they are showcasing Hamill for a trade, expect Seguin on the 9th floor tomorrow night.
I don’t think it would hurt to have Seguin watch a game or two from press level.

Also apparently Boychuk tried to kill Patrice with a chip-in.

Bergeron went to the hospital for stitches on his chin after he was hit with a puck from Boychuk. Reports say that he is fine.

paille
Caron should stay up,he is strong on the puck,,Paille should not be on this team, he kills the chemistry on any line he plays on,Seguin the rookie is not much better,he is at the most right now a 4th line player if someone gets hurt. The Bruins as a team play better without them. The Bruins gave him to much to fast,he has not earned the playing time.
