After watching tonight's game vs. Montreal, I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that the team I watched tonight, with that amount of heart and focus, will win the Stanley Cup.
Watching the sharpness of the puck movement & stick placement (always having your stick on the ice and in the right place), the chemistry, the overall intelligence of the plays, and the emotion of the players - that team, the team that played tonight, will win it all if they bring that kind of game each night in the playoffs.
I know that's hard to do and results like these are hard to duplicate, but it bears writing. The Bruins are a good team that has enough talent to do it - it's the variables of heart, energy, and focus that make the difference. They brought all of that tonight and it got them a 7-0 win against a sneaky team that has bothered them all year. Bring the same in the playoffs, and every team in the NHL will be scared to play you.
These are just some thoughts (and really positive ones at that), but I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way!
Feel free to comment below - does anyone else think this is completely possible with the effort that the Bruins proved that they could give tonight?
