Bruins to practice in Lake Placid between Games 3 & 4
The Bruins announced today that the team will leave Montreal after Game 3 of their best-of-seven opening round playoff series with the Montreal Canadiens to practice in Lake Placid, NY. The B's have decided to avoid the distractions of Montreal and Boston in favor of hitting the ice at Whiteface Lake Placid Olympic Center during the layoff in the series schedule created by a Rush concert at Bell Centre on April 20th (It figures that Geddy Lee and his band of Leafers would throw a wrench in a B's-Habs series). The Whiteface Lake Placid Olympic Center is the site of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team's historic victory over the U.S.S.R., however the team will not be training on the same ice surface. The Bruins will be using an NHL-sized rink to tune up for Game 4 in Montreal.
Hopefully, the Bruins performance in Game 3 will not force a scene like this:

HA! HA! The Habs and Bruins can move the date of a leader’s debate, but they can’t touch RUSH!
Part of what makes the scheduling of a major sports league so tricky, factoring in everything else.
