KABS

I'll be the first to admit that when Tomas Kaberle came to Boston it took a while for him to get his form, but after he settled in to his new digs I saw him start to develop chemistry, learn the coaching system, and make some good plays I started to see the guy we begged for...

We all saw some god awful pinches and passes that made us yell or worry when KABS first arrived, sometimes he would forget who he is supposed to be covering, or he would cost us a scoring oppurtunity becasue he caused a poor turnover or giveaway. Not to mention that our PP didnt imrove at all. We knew we had a good team but the PP was our weakpoint, the one thing we needed to fix to become a Stanleycup favorite. Well, when the playoffs started KABS was on the 3rd line pair and our PP still wasn't producing. Even though some of us didnt notice, Kaberle was improving. He broke up 2 on 1s, he made some saves when thomas wandered, we would even gasp at some passes that made us miss Savvy even more.

After the MLT/BOS series we still hadnt scored a PP goal but it looked better, even when KABS wasnt on the ice anymore. Now pressure of boston fans just watching our newly aquired players lifted because of the pressure on the whole team to win in the playoffs. Pevs and Kelly brought what we wanted them for and showed up night after night. But whent he philly series started KABS got hot. He made great moves in the offensive zone and did ore then we expected form him in our own end. He stopped making the mistakes and brainfarts we saw many a time during the end of the regular season and started to show some real playmaking ablilty.

He wasn't too special in the TB series but he didn't make mistakes and the spotlight on KABS didnt shine as bright. Now looking back I havent seen him out of position onm making bad decisons in the SCF. I think his latter play is more accurate of the KABS we traded for and whatever the outcome, i would like to see him stay now.

I just posted this because I want some feedback on what our d corps might look like next year.
