Not sure if anyone posted this yet but lets think of how this was a team that battled against the odds...
-No Bruin team had battled back from an 0-2 hole let alone the first two at home.
-They beat the Habs in game 7 at home in OT....need I say more about the Bruins and game 7 fortunes let alone against the Habs.
-They swept the Philadelphia Flyer team that had made their own bit of history against us last year.
-They finished what they started last year against Philly
-They lost Game 1 of the ECF at home to the offesive juggernaut team that was suppoed to fill the net against our weak defence.
-They won yet another Game 7 at home, this time to win our first Eastern Conference title since '90
-They once again went down 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals to the Presidents Trophy Champion Vancouver Canucks
-They lost their 1st line RW in the early stages of Game 3 and were told that without Horton we could not score enough to beat Vancouver.
-They lost Game 5 in Vancouver which is apparently the death sentence when you dont have home ice advantage in a series.
-They won Game 6 to plant the seed of doubt in the minds of the Nucks
-They won the 4th Game 7 by a road team in the Stanly Cup Finals in 16 tries...yet again after being down 2-0(fifth team to do so in a Stanley Cup Finals).
-The first road team to win a Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals with a shutout.
-Tim Thomas is the oldest Conn Smythe winner since Glenn Hall
-Tim Thomas need I say more?
-Oh yeah in case you didnt already know...first team to win 3 Game 7's in one playoff ever!!!
-Tim Thomas most playoff saves ever.
